Lodge Love

How about these absolutely beautiful shots of Carmen and Roger on their wedding day!

Adriana & Paul from AP Studios captured the two in all their cute lovey-dovey-ness on the lawn shortly after their wedding at the Lodge at Torrey Pines.

This is one of the more creative and fun shots I've seen to show off the bouquet and boutonniere- I loved this bouquet, too- all those white phalaenopsis orchids rounding out the red coxcomb and then a ton of carnation stems to add a unique and seamless aesthetic under the ribbon wrap.

And I couldn't pass up on showing you the cake! So simple with the "C" monogram and more orchids with an arc of frosted candle glow.

More vine walking...

Thanks to the fab Elaine over at Sweet Cheeks we have more photos!

I love this cake! Words of love written in Italian for the romance and the bride's heritage, deep indigo hydrangea blooms dotting the tiers...

I love this groom's cake too! Plus the wood & cork escort card holder that the groom made himself- it was very cool.

Walk in the Vines

Ode to grape lovers..
Gina & Mike were up for a wine stomp and romp at their wedding in Temecula's Leonesse Cellars. It was a windy, but stunning day captured by Louis Palos Studio...

White freesia and antique peach garden roses blend beautifully in this hand-tied bouquet.

Irridescent blue-purple dresses set off these bouquets of green hydrangea, mini green cymbidiums, star of bethlehem, and creamy white roses.

the happy couple :)

Hanging vases of mini roses and white-purple snapdragons from navy ribbon on iron shepherd hooks lining the aisle..

Centerpieces of roses, berries, hydrangea, and a fun mix of magnolia and juniper foliage..

More centerpieces of submerged globe grapes and casablanca lilies to fill the outside courtyard with a touch of fragrance..

There were TWO awesome cakes by Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. but for the moment, you'll have to check their website to see those!

Stationery Showcase- All about personalization!

With planning season seriously underway, many brides are feeling they're making progress signing on with vendors and venues (yay!) and now the fun part of picking stationery patterns and styles come to the forefront. On a personal level, I am a stationery junkie. I buy cute cards, one of a kind notes, letter and envelope sets, sticker seals, and pens like they are the last luxury on Earth, and I even make my own hand-illustrated and photo cards when I have free time (which is a rarity, I know, but think back to the years before I had Rae Florae..)
So, in honor of the dedicated bride who wants a personalized paper product, I am showcasing the invites and thank-you's that stood out in my mind for 2008. I can't wait to see 2009's!

Points for clarity, color, and whimsical style! Now you'll remember Laura and Zach are the wonders who shared with us about Google Pages for everyone to share their wedding image boards.. that post is here.

Jayanti & Zach (I know, what a coincidence both grooms are Zach's!) went all out, having their SUITE of LETTERPRESS stationery custom designed to be an image of their favorite flower, the Stargazer lily, and ink color to match the predominant tone of their wedding. Double points for custom, botanical style, and clean color. Plus, their envelopes were a yummy sage green and natural brown to balance the pink-ness.

Triple Point winner of the year.. custom, creative, and home-made..
Jenny & Ben! Jenny was so amazingly crafty for her wedding, yet when this Thank You card came in the mail it still impressed me and made me smile! The personal photo of their pups all dressed up and fashioned into a two-sided card, staying with their wedding colors and allowing just enough room for a sweet note. The pleasure was all mine :)

WE'RE ON THE COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

H-e-double-hockey-sticks Yeah!!! That's our bouquet, folks- diamonds, pearls, and black satin! Just because I'm an adult and a very sane person, doesn't mean I don't jump up and down for all sorts of joyous stuff such as this!

Red Love

I just love the way this wedding turned out!! Red James Storie orchids, white phalaenopsis orchids, crimson peonies and carnations, manzanita and curly willow with candles galore... Best Wedding Wishes to Carmen and Roger!! Celebrating at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, the couple enjoyed an intimate party with family all the way from Texas and Spain, and Krista Romberg with Orange Blossom Events pulled together a beautiful event!

I just love my little boutonnieres :) White phaeo in a 1/2 black magic rose for the groom, and 2 james stories with a freedom for the groomsmen.

Ceremony set up on the Lodge's lawn with a lovely view- plenty of sunshine and orchids!

And the reception- crimson, crimson, and crimson with hydrangea, peonies, orchids, willow and clean white river stones.
Thank you again to Lisa at Elle G Photo for the amazing shots captured on such a sunny day!
